Chicago Region BMW Motorcycle Owners Assoccrbmw

Does anyone have a contact with regard to putting on a motorcycle show? A friend in TX has winery and is looking to have a motorcycle show at his place.

Secondly, does anyone have knowledge about the shoria batteries? They're supposed to be lighter and last longer.

Hi Paul. Where in Texas? Betcha there are motorcycle clubs he could contact -- there are a couple of BMW clubs to start with. You can find them in the 'MOA Anonymous Book.

And, never heard of the Shorai battery till now. But I looked up the website (www.shoraipower.com). For my bike ('99 RT), the Shorai is $186.95!! But it supposedly only weighs 2.12 pounds. I'm not a racer, so the weight savings aren't worth the extra cost to me. But of course YMMV. Also, nearest dealer according to the site is Mukwonago, WI, although of course UPS goes everywhere...
