Hi folks,

I'm looking for a good painter who knows his/her stuff in Chicago. Preferably, they will know the original colors for late 1970's early 1980's bikes. I have a 1980 R100RT fairing that needs to be repainted with minor fiberglass repairs ... and hell, might as well do the rest of the bike while I'm doing it. Not looking to spend a million dollars but certainly want it done right and well.

Not in Chicago, but Kent Holt at Holt BMW in Athens, Ohio has always done excellent work replicating the paint schemes on the /5 through /7 models, including the hard-to-match R90S colors.

not affiliated--I've just seen his results.
