Lookin' for Riders going to MOA Rally! 1 Year, 8 Months ago Karma: 1
OK, so my first post was a bit premature, but now we are getting close enough to the time when plans need to be made. Is anyone planning to leave for Redmond on Sunday morning July 11th? I would like to find someone to ride with. So, who is going and when were you thinking of leaving? If I can't find anyone to ride with, I have to go it alone and that is going to make my wife, Jodii, really unhappy . Please don't make her unhappy, it really messes up my ride.
Thanks,
Peter Anderson & Jodii Zimmerman

Pete,

I'm leaving Thursday afternoon the 8th and will be traveling via Canada. I doubt that will work for you. I'm going south to CA after the rally and not heading straight home so again, not much help.

Hi Peter,
I was planning to leave on Saturday morning. This is a little earlier than you since I was planning to go on a north route through Glacier and parts of Canada. The current route I'm planning to get to Redmond is about 3000 miles in 6 days. That should get me to Redmond by Thursday night. My thought was to get about 1500 highway miles down in the first two days and may get the iron butt bun burner certification in the process, but a save drive is priority here and if it doesn't happen it's ok too.
After that I'm planning 4 days of twisty mountain roads to get to Redmond. If you are interested I can sent you a google maps link with my proposed route. After the rally I was planning to ship the bike back from Portland (about $500) and to fly home (only so much vacation without my wife I want to take).
Let me know if you are interessted.
Cheers,
Felix
