Sorry about the late notice, but . . . it's a busy life.
I usually post rides I do for other clubs here, just in case anyone is looking for an organized ride. The chance of rain will keep attendance at bay, so don't worry about about a large group.
Shortest ride I've ever planned. We start in Lake Zurich at the Old World Bakery. It's on Old Rand just north of Main Street on the east side of the road opposite Breezewald Park. We meet at 9 am and eat apple fritters, then a ride brief and we're off.
A lazy ride noth to make a run through Kettle Moraine South Roads before we stop in Palmyra for a comfort food lunch at the Main Street Family Restaurant. I test drove the Hot Meatloaf Sandwich with mashed poatatos and gravy - Wow! - I'm still full 2 days later.
From there we drop down to Lake Zurich via the backroads. Should be done before 5 pm. Less than 200 miles, but lots to see and eat.
