Many thanks to ChiTech for the informative and practical session conducted at the last meeting. My experience with flat tires dates way back to the mid 70's working at a gas station and patching hundreds of car tires, as well as the occasional flats on my dirt bikes that required tube removal and patch/glue. Here I had the chance to use the Stop N' Go set up and it makes sense the way it was set up to perform. I am interested at David Houghs article in the most recent ON, in that he and others, question the fact that a lubricated plug, like that in the Stop N'Go kit, might not "vulcanize" to the rubber and steel cords are known to saw off the plug. Who knows? I will be carrying both types of kits just to be sure.
But what great "hands on" experience I had in making a repair. No better way to learn than actually making the repair with what you have. Again, thanks ChiTech for a great seminar, as always!
