First riding event for the 2010 riding season is likely to be the Annual Polar Bear Run on Friday, January 1, 2010, sponsored again this year by the Crete HOG Chapter. This event has been held every year on New Year's Day regardless of the weather for over forty years. This year, it looks like it will be a great ride for sidecarists, especially those with electric jacket liners....
Riders sign in around noon at Harley-Davidson of Crete, 3445 Eagle Nest Drive (just off I-394 at Steger Road), Crete; ride leaves at 1 p.m.
A number of Chicago Region members have been regulars at this event over the years. Even if you don't plan to go on the ride, it's another good place to reconnect. Maybe I'll see you there!!
