As those members rode with us to Dixon, Il. last Saturday, We went knowing the forcast was rainny at the least. We only encountered alittle drizzle. Temps were fine for an early Spring ride.
What I don't understand is this.
I rode, right after the graveside service to Pecatonica. About 30 miles. No rain. I did NOT see anyone else ride over after Dave's service. Since I got there early, and have been camping there several times b/4, I got to pick a well protected spot. There were several RV's, but only a few tent campers. I camped under the BIG OVERHANG ON THE 'ICE CREAM' type building that was away from the vendors about 4 barns. I was against the wall of the building. That nite, it DID rain like H#&& (just as it usually does. But Sunday AM when I got up, NO RAIN.
There were less vendors than usual and less attendees. As I rode home Sunday, the sky looked very bad. I even stopped to put on my rain gloves. BUT, absolutely no rain all the way home.
I did notice several CRBMW members that I knew, But I think all of them rode that on Sunday.
I couldn't believe that BMW rides would decide NOT to stay the night @ Pecatonica because of the rain. And as it turned out, for me, this was the LEAST rain at the Market !
