Chitech is holding a Fluid Change Clinic. Here are the details:
Location: Motoworks, 1901 S Western, Chicago (rear entrance from alley)
Date/time: Oct 24th, doors open at 8am, work starts at 9am
Owner/member provides parts (any oils, drain plug seal rings, oil filter). Purchase at dealer, independent BMW shop, or wherever you (owner) choose. If you plan to change gear oil, final drive oil, or fork oil, bring the required oil. Parts and lubricants will be available for purchase at Motoworks if prior arrangements are made. Call Motoworks if that is your plan. Call Seymour with specific questions; we may be unable to perform certain tasks on some newer bikes.
We (Chitech) will provide brake fluid and we will have coolant available for purchase ($10).
Bring tools for your planned work. Bike toolkit is probably sufficient. We (Chitech) will have tools available for those who don’t but it is always best to have your own.
Wear “expendable” clothing. We’ll have paper towels and rubber gloves available.
$5 clinic charge, $10 for coolant
Remember: You are doing the work, We are there to provide guidance and support.
Bagels and coffee will be provided.
