Assuming my bike will be in ridable condition... I want to get a GPS unit in time for the Gillette rally. I'm a GPS newbie who needs some advice and guidance.
I'm looking for a motorcycle unit that doesn't suffer from feature overload. Conventional wisdom suggests that the Garmin Zumo is the way to go. Does anyone have alternate thoughts or suggestions regarding this?
As long as I'm on this topic I have a few other questions as well:
What to buy?
Where to buy?
How standardized are the mapping formats as far as sharing ride routes with other people?
Is it worth the extra expense to get Bluetooth audio for audible directions? How about just using a stereo-plugged headset for directions and tunes?
I assume that there is mapping software involved for use on a computer. Is there a Linux version available?
I NEED HELP!
