I heard Don had a mishap on a spring ride. If this is true does anyone know how he is doing? Thanks.

BOB !
This is the one and only Don Weber !
Bob, since I am so nice, I won't say..'Where the heck have you've been'
or 'don't you read this website' or don't you come to meetings? (ie Aug)'
I am doing GREAT !
It was a serious accident, but not due to any fault of the club.
My injuries are a broken arm, rib, scapula and back. I was in the U of W
Trauma Center in Madison, Wi. for a month. It's a great hospital ! Also took a fast
helicopter ride to there. I only was looking up and it was night. So, I guess
it was beautiful, atleast that is what the doctor and nurse on he helicopter said.
Surviving the accident and recovering fast are due to multiple reasons. Like
wearing ALL my safety gear (Boots, kevlar lined jeans, armored jacket,
gloves and helmet), being physically active B/4 the accident, experiencing a low
pain level in rehab, prayers of many and more.
I am @ home now, not working or driving by myself.
I look forward to attending meetings (except for August, haven't been to one in
years) and doing more club rides, next year.
Hope to meet you, soon.
Glad you asked about me. Maybe others who did not know will read this.
By my fast reply to your posting, you can tell I still have alot of time on my hands.

Great to hear you're healing well and growing back the body parts.

I live down in Bourbonnais and get to a limited number of Chicago events, not too often on the web site, but read the monthly newsletter faithfully.

I think we have been on a couple of rides together. Maybe Starved Rock and a Hot Dog night or two. Sometimes I do the vintage rides.

At any rate thanks for the quick reply straight from the "horses mouth". Hope to see you on the road in the near future.
