I don't know who...But Someone should check to see if a hot dog destination will be open!

I arrive at Murphys at my customary early time 6:15PM only to have the door politely slamed in my face... sorry we're closed...

By that time I was unable to catch anyone from going on the phone. I did catch Paul W and John Z on Elston Ave. and turned them around. I don't know how many more showed up.

This is prime Hot Dog night weather and were getting closed activities.... The Hot Dog Nights are one of our MOST popular activities. At this rate it won't be much longer...

...bunch of us showed up right around 7 and made the "executive" decision to go down around the corner to Wiener's Circle. We left a note on the window at Murphy's, and a few others did find us... We also decided that this ride would count twice for Ken Jacobson -- he missed the original Wiener's Circle ride. So this one counted for that one AND for the August 11 event for him. Whaddya think?

Thank you for letting us know about the place being closed and for organizing a new location. I trust people that when they give me a location they have found out what the hours of business are, that is wrong on my part to assume that it is open late. I will make that known for next years list.

You wouldn't have that problem with Gene and Jude's! The best hot dog stand in the universe and still boycotted by the Chicago Region on Monday nights would always have the welcome mat out.

All RIGHT! It's on the list for next year...man, I know I'll catch a lot of flack for it, but if it will stop the endless stream of tears and "I want Gene and Judes", wa wa waaaa.
