Hi folks,

I have absolutely no mechanical abilities but I'd like to learn some basics because I have a 1966 R69S, which I assume will be more prone to repairs than newer bikes.

The fellow from whom I purchase the bike is going to help me with one of my problems tomorrow (sticking throttle). but now a new problem has cropped up. When I accelerate everything works fine, but on my last time out I really had to use a lot of force on the throttle grip in order to power down. Are there any easy quick fixes for this?
