I thought this belonged here because Dave organized our Meet to Eat activities and this is his forum.
This is a place where we can share our thoughts and recollections of Dave and hopefully by doing so we can deal with our shared loss.
The first thing that comes to mind for me is that is that I did not like everything he did, but he sure did a lot and on balance, our club is much the better for it. He was very active and he didn't just come to activities, he was always an important part of what was going on. No one who knew Dave would accuse him of being a wall flower. He always strove to make the club and activities better.
Neither was he shy about offering me "constructive criticism" when he thought there was something I could do better. I will have to find someone else to let me know when I screw up.
I cannot believe he is gone. Just a couple weekends ago, during the state park ride, he was telling us about how Ronald Reagan got into acting:
We will miss him. I will miss him.
