Hi everyone. As a member of the Windy City BMW (car) Club, I received the following email today:
"The Village of Oak Park would like to invite BMW owners to bring out their cars on Thursday, September 23, for their German Night Car Show. The cars will have a designated parking area at 1035 South Boulevard (South Boulevard and Marion Street) from 5pm to 9pm. Come on out to show off the car before the salt and winter wheels ruin your ride for 6 months!

So, I thought, how about including some BMW motorcycles? I contacted Jim, the event organizer, and asked him, and this is his response:
"Absolutely, come on along. The more the merrier. We have 35 to 40 street parking spaces roped off that night. I'll be at the corner of South Boulevard and South Marion Street at about 20 minutes to 5:00 and will direct everyone to their spaces. I also have trailer/tow vehicle parking available if it's needed. Just let me know ahead of time.. Any questions or troubles call my cell at 312-446-8959, or e-mail. This is low key. No entry fees, no trophies, just a chance to get together on restaurant row in Oak Park and socialize.
"I also have a standing offer to buy the first round at Poor Phil's, the local watering hole on the street, at the end of the evening for all that display.
"This is our third event this year. We did all-England night in July and all-Italian night in August."
So, sounds like fun, whether you've got a bike to show off, or just want to see what everyone else brings! How about it?
