Meet in the Lake Zurich COSTCO parking lot. Gather in the lot next to their gas station. The entrance to COSTCO (680 S. Rand Rd) is the stoplight that is east of the intersection of Rand & Ela Roads in Lake Zurich.

As usual we will ride until the sun goes down and cover between 400 and 500 miles. Show up prepared to ride. The weather will be chilly in the morning and at the end of the ride. Dress in layers and bring your electrics if you have them. We will cover a lot of ground, so it will probably be raining somewhere we travel, so have your rain gear ready to go. Better yet wear jacket, pants, gloves and boots that are waterproof.
Stay away from the caffeine, but drink lots of water. We will keep our stops to a minimum, about every two hours.
Lunch and hydration/snack stops will line up with our gas stops. Don't expect anything fancy, this is definitely not a ride to eat event.
If you do the math, you will see that to complete this all day ride, we will need to average a decent speed. This ride is not for the faint of heart.
Please bring your I-Pass or borrow one. Although the majority of this ride will be on two lane roads, there may be a brief stretch on the toll road. We’ll be going through the open road lanes to save time.
This All Day Ride is all about the journey since our destination is to end up where we started. We ride no matter the weather - this journey will not be cancelled!
