Hello all;

I am planning to take about a 10 day tour of the alps sometime at the end of Aug or beginning of Sept. 2016. I wanted to do this in June but I spoke to Stefan (He is probably the rental guy that I am going to use near Frankfurt) and he said that the passes are still closed in June and the weather is better later in the summer with less rain. This is going to be a self directed trip. I have not fully researched the ride yet and wait for some member input. I imagine we would fly from Chicago to Frankfurt and then pick up rental bikes. It would be fun if there would be 2 or 3 more riders. My wife is probably going to come with. I know a lot of women have some problem with living out of a pannier for that long (some guys as well). We will not have some fancy support vehicle so you can load it up with gifts and such from the sites. I am figuring that we would stay in moderate accomadations and ride 150-200 miles a day. This is a combo easy ride to see the sights and take time to enjoy alpen towns and cities. Anyone interested just email me asap so that we can start planning.
