*Smoky Mountains 500+
May 21 - May 28
The CRBMW Lords of the Dirt SM500+ ride will take place May 21-28, 2022. The Smoky Mountains 500+ is a 500-mile 70/30 dirt/paved route through the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Georgia. The “+” part is riding more of the Trans America Trail after the four days we spend on the SM500, taking three to four days to ride the TAT westward back to Fayetteville, Arkansas before heading home. A unique ADV-related coffee run and a special guest guide might be part of the fun. A cool ride sticker is guaranteed. Basic information is on the attached sheet. A detailed itinerary will be posted here in the coming weeks.
The SM500 route is surrounded by and is close to many beautiful twisty paved roads, including the Cherohala Skyway, the Dragon, and much more. Road riders are welcome to join and meet up with the group each night like we did on last year’s TAT/MABDR ride. They can even take their K-bikes or RTs or whatever they have on the SM500 if they so choose–we won’t try to stop them.
